Bronze Sculpture Title

     My subject matter in sculpture has been cats because I know them the best.  When you work in any art medium work with subjects or interests you know best.

     I first build a metal armature in the shape I want to sculpt. This armature is built from metal for strength and support.  Then I start to apply the plastilina clay.  I use a heat gun to soften the clay so it is more pliable and to smooth the finished sculpture.  Some forms when finished require texture and some a smooth finish.  I make that decision when the sculpture is finished.

     When I am satisfied the sculpture is finished it is sent to a professional casting foundry where a mold is made and the bronze is poured.

     When the bronze is finished to my specifications a base is selected and attached.
